The Negro in medicine.Tuskegee, AL: Tuskegee Inst. Press, 1912.An early publication on the medical problems of blacks written by a black physician. Kenney served as school physician at Tuskegee University, was the first director of the John A. Andrew Memorial Hospital at Tuskegee University, founded the John A. Andrew Clinic and help to start the John A. Andrew Clinical Society in 1918. Kenney also edited the Journal of the National Medical Association (a professional organization of black physicians).
