The transplantability of nuclei of arrested hybrid blastulae (R. pipiens female X R. catesbeiana male).J. Exp. Zool., 123, 61-78, 1953.King and Briggs cloned a frog by nuclear transfer of embryonic cells. Their experiment was the first successful nuclear transplanation performed in metazoans.
